About this product
This silicone egg separator uses gentle suction to lift the yolk away from the white. Crack the eggs into a bowl, squeeze the bulb, touch it to a yolk and release — the yolk is pulled inside while the white stays behind.
It is much cleaner than passing the yolk between shell halves, and it keeps the whites free of yolk so they whip up properly for meringue, macarons and angel food cake.

How to use the egg separator
- Crack the eggs into a clean, shallow bowl. The FDA advises washing hands, utensils and surfaces after they touch raw eggs. Read the FDA egg safety guide.
- Squeeze the silicone bulb and place the mouth gently against a yolk.
- Release the pressure to draw the yolk inside.
- Move to a second bowl and squeeze gently to release the yolk.

Yes, but room-temperature eggs separate a little more easily because the yolk is less likely to break.
Can I separate several eggs at once?
Crack several eggs into a shallow bowl and pick up the yolks one at a time.
What if a yolk breaks?
Any yolk in the whites will stop them whipping. Pour that egg into a separate bowl and use it for scrambled eggs.
Is the bulb easy to clean?
Yes. Squeeze warm, soapy water in and out a few times, then rinse and let it dry.
