How to use the avocado slicer
- Rinse the avocado under running water before cutting — the FDA recommends washing produce even when you will not eat the skin. Read the FDA produce safety tips.
- Use the plastic blade to cut around the avocado lengthwise, then twist the two halves apart.
- Press the center grip onto the pit, twist gently and lift it out.
- Slide the slicer between the flesh and the skin to lift out neat slices, ready for toast, salads or bowls.

It works best on ripe avocados that give slightly when pressed. Firm, unripe fruit is hard to pit and slice with any tool, so let it ripen on the counter for a day or two first.
Will it work on small and large avocados?
Yes, the blade and pitter work on most everyday Hass avocados. Very large Florida avocados may need two passes with the slicing wires.
How do I keep the slices from turning brown?
Squeeze a little lemon or lime juice over the slices and cover them tightly. Our stainless steel citrus juicer makes that quick.
Is the blade sharp?
The splitting blade is sharp enough to cut through the skin but it is not a knife. Always cut away from your hand.
When will my order arrive?

Yes, we ship worldwide with tracking, and the rate is calculated at checkout. A few items ship from our US warehouse and can only be delivered to US addresses; their product page says so.
