How to use the silicone baking mat
- Wipe the counter and the mat. FoodSafety.gov recommends washing work surfaces with hot, soapy water before and after handling raw dough and flour. Read the FoodSafety.gov food safety steps.
- Lay the mat flat on the counter — a damp cloth underneath stops it sliding.
- Dust lightly with flour and roll the dough to the printed circle or size you need.
- Lift the mat to flip pie crust into the tin, or peel the dough away from the mat.

It is designed as a pastry and rolling mat. Check the size against your baking sheet and follow the heat guidance printed on the product before using it in the oven.
Can I cut dough on it?
Use a plastic scraper or cookie cutters. Sharp knives and pizza cutters can damage the silicone.
How do I stop it sliding on the counter?
Place a slightly damp towel underneath or wipe the counter with a damp cloth first.
Does it need flour?
A light dusting helps with very soft dough, but you need far less flour than on a bare counter.
