How to use the kitchen scissors
- Open the scissors fully until the blades line up at the pivot, then pull them apart to separate.
- Wash both blades separately — FoodSafety.gov recommends washing utensils in hot, soapy water after they touch raw meat. Read the FoodSafety.gov food safety steps.
- Dry both halves completely.
- Line up the pivot again and close the handles to lock the blades back together.

Open the handles wide until the blades align at the pivot, then pull them apart. Reverse the steps to reassemble.
Can they cut through chicken bones?
They are made for everyday kitchen tasks like trimming poultry and cutting through small, soft bones. Use poultry shears or a cleaver for large bones.
